The MASTERPULS® ONE

After conducting three months of research I purchased a Storz MP 100 from Shockwave Canada in early 2013.  I am a practitioner that is skeptical of everything and require not only randomized controlled studies showing the efficacy of the modality but as well first hand experiences from other practitioners.  Well —– after 2+ million shocks and counting, the results are nothing short of astounding. Shockwave Therapy has surpassed my expectations in the treatment of conditions such as Plantar Fasciitis, Lateral Epicondylitis and Supraspinatus Tendonopathy, to name a few.  Accompanied with chiropractic manipulation and soft tissue rehabilitation, Shockwave Therapy has allowed me and other practitioners of my clinic to reach complete resolution of the most chronic, unresponsive soft tissue conditions.

I would recommend every Chiropractic, Massage Therapy and Physiotherapy office explore the benefits that Shockwave Therapy can bring to them and their patients. I have done little in the marketing of this modality, yet I have patients asking regularly to have Shockwave Therapy.  Shockwave Therapy sells itself!!!

I have only one regret with the purchase of my Storz MP 100 machine.  That is, I didn’t purchase it years earlier!!!  It is that good!!!

P.S.  Shockwave Therapy has tremendously reduced my discomfort associated with Chronic Achilles Tendinitis when nothing else helped!!!

We purchased our Shockwave machine 1 year into our clinical practice and quickly realized we were 1 year too late. We should have had it from day 1.  It truly has changed the dynamics of our treatment programs and outcomes. We have had so much success with chronic tendon problems and calcific tendonitis that is has become a first line of defense for these patients. Once the Shockwave demolishes the pain we utilize different modalities to re-establish the neuromuscular system. Patients are continually surprised with the quick and effective results and are quick to refer friends and family to the clinic for similar treatments.

The evidence behind the use of Shockwave speaks for itself.  Physicians and other health care practitioners do not hesitate to refer their patients for a treatment that is backed by sound, high level evidence.  We have yet had any issues finding and keeping referral sources for this modality. As a clinic owner I can confidently say that purchasing a Shockwave machine has been one of the best business decisions I have made to date.

It’s been nearly 4 years since I leased the Storz Medical Masterpuls MP50 Radial Shockwave unit from you.

I’ve treated patients with; medial and lateral epicondylitis, adhesive capsulitis, calcific tendonitis of the elbow and shoulder, several different Achilles tendonopathies, plantar fasciitis, hallux rigidus, 5^th metatarsal head stress fractures, Morton’s neuromas, hip bursitis, trigger points, scar tissue in the hands, feet, back, legs and hips.

As we all know certain cases do stand out; a patient who was referred to our office was scheduled for surgical intervention of a right Frozen Shoulder of 2 ½ years duration.  After 3 sessions she began to improve and had full range of motion before her scheduled surgery. The surgeon’s office didn’t believe that she no longer required the surgery and insisted she be examined only to find out she had full pain free ROM.

A patient told me he hadn’t played golf for over 2 years because he could only walk very short distances due to Achilles tendonitis. When he returned for his 2^nd treatment 1 week later the tendonitis had shrunk from the width of a golf ball down to the size of a  marble and he could walk pain free all day.

From the scientific literature we know that overall, Radial Shockwave Therapy has excellent results but combined with Chiropractic care I can easily say that in our office we have experienced well over a 90% success rate. So obviously my practice has benefitted significantly having better results more quickly by integrating RSWT into my practice. I would recommend that all Chiropractors have one of these machines in their office.

I have had the Storz Pulse Activated Therapy (Extracorporeal Shockwave) device for almost two years.  In that time, I have treated numerous patients for various foot ailments. While I have had many cases with positive outcomes, one in particular stands out.

One female patient in her mid-60’s suffered with bilateral Achilles tendonitis for approximately eight years.  Multiple previous conservative therapies had failed – tears were pouring down her cheeks as she recounted her miserable history. She was unable to walk a step without pain and going down stairs was a nightmare.

After three weekly treatments with the tissue regenerator, she improved immensely.  Within two months, she could stand, walk and go up and down stairs pain-free for the first time in eight years. She left my office with tears of joy (this time) and gave me hug. She was so grateful to be active again.

As I mentioned earlier, this is only one of many successful cases in using the tissue regenerator. I have had over a 95% success rate in treating plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis. While both conditions have such a high success rate, I have found that patients with Achilles tendonapathy usually notice improvement sooner (average 3 weeks) than patients suffering from plantar fasciitis (average 5-6 weeks).

I highly recommend this device to all of my colleagues.  When used for the appropriate indications, overall conservative treatment time is drastically reduced. This translates to immeasurable patient satisfaction. It is a great feeling to see people regain their active lifestyle once they become symptom-free.

I must admit that I was skeptical when I first heard about this modality.  However, I have been pleasantly surprised by the excellent results I have obtained so far.

Since March 2007 I have treated over 100 clients with ESWT and I have had consistently excellent results. After 3-4 sessions between 85-90% of all my clients have experienced on average 80-90% improvement following treatments with ESWT.

I have had my Storz Shockwave machine now for almost 2 years and although I had great treatment outcomes from day one, I am now helping patients using Shockwave Therapy for more cases then just Plantar Fasciitis.

I have always treated soft tissue injuries very effectively with the use of Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.), acupuncture and exercise prescription, but my outcomes have improved with the Storz Shockwave machine.

One of the most commonly injured joints that I see in my office are shoulders. Ever since I started integrating Shockwave Therapy into my treatment plans my patients have been getting better faster.  Many of them are asking for Shockwave when they return to the office with different injuries.  Not only did my patient outcomes improve, but clinic revenue has also steadily increased, easily justifying the cost of the lease.

What I also really like about this type of treatment is that it can be used by various health care providers and disciplines.  The athletic therapists and physiotherapists in my office have also started integrating Shockwave into their treatment plans.
