How Dr. Mike Hardie of City View Chiropractic Uses Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a versatile tool that can add huge value to many types of clinics. But don’t just take our word for it!

We spoke with Dr. Michael Hardie of City View Chiropractic Clinic about his experience using the MASTERPULS® Ultra MP200 from Shockwave Canada at his practice. Here is what he had to say.

“We’ve already given two million shocks with the device in two months,” Dr. Hardie said. “And it’s been a great way to enhance our care to our patients.”

Dr. Hardie graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1990, with an HonBSc in Kinesiology. He then pursued a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, graduating in 1994. He established City View Chiropractic Clinic in 1995.

One of the biggest benefits that City View has seen is how effective shockwave therapy is at treating degenerative or chronic conditions, such as arthritic shoulders or hips.

“We’ve had two patients come in before hip replacements and then decide not to replace the hips,” Dr. Hardie said. “Shockwave allows them to return to activity.”

The shockwave treatment has been so effective for City View that Dr. Hardie and his team are planning to get a second device.

“It’s been a great experience from the demo to delivery to follow up,” Dr. Hardie said.

Shockwave Canada has supported City View with learning how to use the device and applying it to their practice every step of the way.

“The backup that we get from Dr. Gordon and Shockwave Canada has been fantastic,” Dr. Hardie said. “I highly recommend them.”
